Why lakadharas

The difference is in how it is made.

There is a clear gap between a piece that is carved and one that is crafted. We work at that edge — using precision tooling to get things right, and hand finishing to make them feel right.

1

CNC precision

Our Shapeoko Pro 5 holds tolerances hand tools cannot. Every cut runs exactly as designed — consistent depth, clean edges, no drift.

2

Premium hardwoods

American Black Walnut, Hard Maple, Poplar. We source selectively, inspect every board, and choose grain with the final piece in mind.

3

Finished by hand

The machine stops; the craft continues. Five grits of sanding, careful finish application, and a final inspection before anything leaves the studio.

4

Custom-first approach

Most of what we make is commissioned. If you have a specific idea, a specific size, or a specific occasion — we build for it.

Materials

Three woods. Each chosen for a reason.

We work with a focused selection of domestic hardwoods — each with distinct character, machinability, and finish response.
